"I decided to jump on the technology wagon and start a blog for the library. The main purpose of this blog is to preview new materials that are in the library. I will write booktalks for some of them, post booktalks the children have written, and let the students post appropriate comments about the books they have read." - Jennifer Parker. The School Improvement Team exists in each school in District 97 as a forum for collaboration among the school community's main stakeholders-teachers, parents, and the principal. The purpose of the collaboration is for the community to develop a shared understanding of what aids and impedes the school's success. The SITs use this understanding to develop priority goals for improvement at their school. School staff and parents then implement the priority goals in school policies and activities.

ChicoBags, the reuseable nylon bags in a pouch, are available in the Hatch office in a rainbow of colors. Small enough to fit in a purse or pocket or clip to a keychain, this is one bag you won't forget at home.
The average American uses 300-700 plastic bags per year, most of which end up in landfills or polluting our oceans. ChicoBags are an easy way to make a difference, one bag at a time.
ChicoBags also make GREAT HOLIDAY GIFTS so stop by the office soon to pick one out for everyone on your list! $5 each - Exact change or checks payable to Hatch PTO. Questions? Contact Cathi Knickrehm.
